Arthur Dorion (Atchel) was born on August 10th, 1950 in Cumberland House, SK, to parents late Horace and Marie Greenleaf. Art suddenly passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 4th, 2021.
Art is survived by his son Kirk (Lyla) and his special grandson Carey, daughter Faye (Abel) Stinson, son Wayne Dorion and special daughter Tammy Dorion and family, brothers: Bill Dorion, Kelly Greenleaf, Joey Goulet, Ivan (Cindy) Greenleaf, Angus (Lanette) Greenleaf, sisters: Gwenda Young, Barb (Jake) Thomas, Jane (John) Laliberte, Isabelle Greenleaf, Leona (Eugene) McKenzie, Bernice (Wayne) Laliberte, numerous nieces and nephews and many other extended family members.
Art was a very humble, caring and respectful man. He was respected and loved by all who knew him. Art loved everyone that he met and welcomed everyone into his home. Art loved and always had a passion for music. He played in a band in his younger years and loved playing the guitar. Art enjoyed the outdoors and loved hunting and fishing. Art was a guide for the Americans for many years. Art also enjoyed playing bingo and spending lots of time with Kirk, Lyla, grandson Carey and all that came to visit him.
Art’s grandson was the light of his life and he had so much love for Carey. Art loved all his nieces and nephews and all their children. He loved having visitors and never turned anyone away from his home.
Art was predeceased by his lifetime partner Mabel Dorion, his precious son Arthur Jr. (Atch) Dorion, his parents Horace and Marie Greenleaf and his maternal grandparents William and Isabelle Dorion.
